This vacation was long overdue! The Palazzo did not disappoint. This 5-star hotel is AWESOME! There were 4 of us that traveled to Vegas this time. We were delighted with what we saw from the minute we walked into the resort!
The check-in process was quick. Our flight arrived around 9:30 am Vegas time. To ensure I had a room available at check-in, I opted to pay the early check-in fee online prior to arrival. Guests may also request early check-in upon arrival. However, there is no guarantee a room will be available. While there were no rooms available for early check-in at the Palazzo, they were available at The Venetian. One person in our party did accept the room at The Venetian. The 2 resorts are approximately an 8 minute walk from each other.
There was 1 issue with my check-in process. I was fully aware of the $45+ taxes per night resort fee in addition to the incidental charge ($150 flat rate or $150 per night option). When checking in, if not asked, request the $150 flat rate. The rep assisting me indicated she did not normally work the front desk. She did not ask if I would like the flat rate and automatically charged me $150 per night. It was changed to the $150 flat rate at my request.
There is a security checkpoint on the first floor in front of the elevator lobby. Room keys must be scanned before going to your room. Any guests without a room key, must register at the security stand (provide ID information and nature of your business).
As with most hotels, the elevators are sectioned off by floor numbers. The elevators were always spotless, as well as the entire hotel.
Have the video camera ready upon entering the room! The suite is EVERYTHING!!
- Spacious! Enough space for 2-3. Single occupancy for me. I would not have it any other way!
- Large bathroom…spotless, marble, large tub, TV, vanity area with magnifying mirror, separate toilet area with door (and phone)!
- King bed…so comfortable! WARNING…sleep comes easy! The mattress is the best I have slept on! (The Venetian Plush can be ordered by calling Sealy directly.) TV is perfectly placed. Ample closet space with safe.
- Living room area…large, comfortable, sectional sofa; large TV; stocked bar [The bar is NOT complimentary; price list can be found on the TV and at the bar. There is a note (fine print) that indicates you will be charged if you use the fridge for personal items.]
